We’re Hiring! Junior Tech Assistant
We're looking for a Junior Tech Assistant to join our friendly team.
This exciting new role is part of the government’s Kickstart Scheme and exists to assist in the technical department with the various events held at Sheaf St and Duke Studios. For example: Friday Night residencies, Open Deck Thursdays, corporate events, wedding receptions, club nights, parties, live streamed events and other arts events.
The Junior Tech Assistant will develop skills in sound engineering, lighting rigs, set up and operation, staging set up, DJ equipment, audio visual projectors and screens, live streaming equipment and floor managing. They will develop understanding of the set up and running of many different types of events as a whole. They will also learn how to communicate via radios during events.
We expect the Junior Tech Assistant to have an interest in the creative and tech sector, with some knowledge of the local scene. We are looking for someone energetic, outgoing with a positive and confident attitude. We are looking for someone who can use their initiative and has the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
You’ll need a willingness to pitch in, roll your sleeves up and get dirty!
You will need to work well with all ages. The Junior Tech Assistant will have a passion and understanding for Sheaf St and Duke Studios Ethos and Values.
Working hours: 25 per week
